International Cricket Council
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Greg and Lloyd for many years and am delighted to see that Halo, their innovative, user friendly and operationally practical system is up and running. I am sure that the benefits this system can bring to any operational event are evident to anyone with responsibility for safety and security at events. Greg and Lloyd have the highest levels of integrity, honesty and openness and are totally client focussed. I am looking forward to working alongside them again at the Cricket World Cup 2019.

We used CREST Planning to support us with the delivery of the Luton Carnival 2018. We made use of their Crowd Tension Indicator and their Halo Event Management Software. We found that the combination of both products provided an unparalleled understanding of shared situational awareness with all stakeholders and blue light emergency services on the same system, speaking the same language, making the event the safest its ever been since it started in 1976. The system is incredible value for money and even saved us money in some areas. I would highly recommend CREST and their innovative products and services.

I instigated the use of Halo for the first time at Luton Carnival to overcome a number of historical issues. It is fair to say it was a huge success with those who used it embracing it immediately. As an App, it is simple to use and will undoubtedly replace all the various ‘WhattsApp’ and similar groups that have sprung up on event sites over the last few years. To be able to circulate missing person details and photos to all site users in seconds is a huge bonus. The big prize though is the tracking feature, especially to be able to give reassurance that positions are covered and, to deploy the most appropriate and local response teams to incidents. This could be an end to Ghosting!
– Eric Stuart, Chair, UK Crowd Management Association & Managing Director, Gentian Events Ltd
I was the Gold Commander for the Luton Carnival 2018 and made use of the Crowd Tension Indicator to report on tensions in and around the event for the benefit of police and partners when assessing risk. I further saw the Halo System being deployed and this is the first time we have achieved absolute shared situational awareness across all stakeholders with realtime event information being shared directly from the site into the Silver and Gold operations rooms.
– David Boyle, Chief Superintendent & Gold Commander
I have been in the events industry for more than 10 years both here in the UK and overseas. I can honestly say that what the CREST Team are bringing to the business is phenomenal. Their Halo system is extraordinary and allows full oversight of an event delivering unprecedented levels of safety and security for participants, spectators and staff.

We are pleased to be working with Crest Planning and the Halo team. We are always looking for ways to improve our operational delivery on events and Halo brings a host of functionality that focuses on communication and staff engagement from all teams on all service delivery levels. With real-time reporting it allows our key managers to make well informed decisions that have a positive impact on customer service and event safety, that we hope our customers see in the experience they receive when attending the venue.
– Stephen Chaston, Head of Operations, Motorpoint Arena Nottingham
I have known Greg for a number of years , having worked alongside him whilst he has commanded major events within the UK and also as an assessor on command courses. I was therefore pleased when Greg came out to work alongside me in Sierra Leone. Greg has been an integral part of the UK Policing’s response in supporting the Sierra Leone Police in preparing their officers for the forthcoming Presidential Elections. The country is one of the poorest in the world and has been beset by natural disasters such as Ebola and flooding whilst still recovering from the effects of a civil war.
The training Greg has provided in such matters as Human Rights, Public Order and Public Safety have been exemplary and provide firm foundations for the country to move forward.

Lloyd has been a key member of the National Policing Events Working Group. His research and contributions have helped shape and inform national guidance that will benefit UK policing, partners and event organisers across the country.

When managing events we, like most people, use a combination of software such as WhatsApp/e-mail/Google Sheets etc. Within five minutes of seeing Halo in action we dropped our other systems to streamline our operation. Having one communications and management package so that everything would be in one place, on one system, meant that we could be much more in control, better informed and better prepared than ever before. Halo is the best software platform and I thoroughly recommend it and the CREST Planning Team.
– Judith Manson, Managing Director, Goldline Events
I would like to thank you again for the professional delivery of the training. Every staff member commented on how much they had enjoyed the day, and felt much more confident in dealing with an emergency situation.
